| Violinist Elizabeth Choi holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (MM – chamber music performance) and DePaul University (BM). In addition to her work with Fifth House, Elizabeth is a member of the Advent Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Chicago, New Millenium Orchestra, International Chamber Musicians. She also teaches at the Cappelli Institute of Music and maintains an active private studio. Former orchestral positions include associate concertmistress of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and concertmistress of the Classical Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, East-West Divan Workshop conducted by Daniel Barenboim, Illinois Philharmonic, Kenosha Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Marin Symphony, and the Golden Gate Opera. As a chamber musican, Elizabeth has won 1st and 3rd prizes at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and has performed with great artists including Ian Swensen, Jean-Michel Fonteneau, Jodi Levitz, Axel Strauss, Gil Kalish, Ellen Jewett from the Audubon quartet, Seth Knopp from the Peabody Trio, Joseph Swensen, and Paul Hersh. In her free time, Elizabeth loves watching movies and babysitting her nephew and niece. |
