DEEP LISTENING

We may be distanced, but we are not alone. Deep Listening has transformed Fifth House Ensemble’s creative and social impact work, connecting us to ourselves and to others in ways we could not have imagined.

In this time of added stress, anxiety, and uncertainty, Deep Listening practice can provide a space for peace, reflection, and fun through listening, moving, and sounding.

We are thrilled to partner with Lawrence University, the Center for Deep Listening, and our sage guides Leila Ramagopal Pertl and Brian Pertl on this journey.

Join us on the Fifth House and Lawrence Facebook pages every weekday at 10am CST; every week Leila and Brian Pertl, who teach the Deep Listening Lab course at Lawrence, will bring you a new lesson you can do from home. We’re excited to share with you how we bring these rituals into our everyday routine.

Over the coming weeks we will explore the depth and nuance of this powerful practice founded and championed by the great composer and musician, Pauline Oliveros.
